On a day to day basis, I like to keep my makeup simple and easy! With just a few steps, you can achieve a natural look, while still feeling glamorous!
Step 1- Foundation: I start by applying a light layer of foundation to my skin using a flat top brush. For an everyday look I usually reach for a light foundation, such as a Tarts BB cream. Once applied, I like to finish applying my foundation using a damp beauty blender for a more flawless finish.
Step 2- Conceal/Highlight/Set: For any imperfections or redness on my skin, I like to use a creamy concealer like the Bobbi Brown foundation stick. To highlight, I go for something brightening and a few shades lighter than my foundation. Using a damp beauty blender is the perfect tool to blend everything out. Once my concealer is blended out, I like to use a setting powder like the Makeup Forever High Definition Powder to prevent creasing.
Step 3- Contour: For contouring, I like to use a medium/dark shade like the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer. I focus this in the hallows of my cheeks, my forehead/temples, and my jaw line. The most important part of contouring is to make sure everything is nice and blended out.
Step 4- Blush: A peachy/pink blush like the Milani baked blush is perfect for an everyday look. I focus the blush on the apples of my cheeks, up onto my cheek bones.
Step 5- Highlight: For a lit from within glow, I like to use a highlight on my cheek bones. My go to lately is The Balm Mary Loumanizer.
Step 6- Powder: I like to powder my face once all my face makeup is applied to make sure everything is nice and blended out.
Step 7- Brows: Filling in your brows can be tricky, so keep it simple and use a brown pencil like the Anastasia Brow Wiz. Use light handed strokes to fill in and sharp your brows.
Step 8- Eyeshadow: For eyeshadow, I like to keep things neutral and use warm tone shades. I start off by using a cream shade like Mac’s blanc type all over my lids. Next, I focus a warm brown shade like wedge by Mac in my crease. To add some definition, I go in with a darker brown shade like expresso by Mac and focus this color in the outer corner, and making sure blend everything out. For my lower lash line, I use both the light and dark brown shades, focusing the darker shade on the outer corner. To highlight my brow bone, I use a light simmer shade such as Mac’s shroom.
Step 9- Eyeliner: For eyeliner I like using a brown pencil liner. For this look I’m using Revlon colorstay in the shade brown.
Step 10- Mascara: For an everyday look, I don’t typically wear false lashes. Instead, I give my lashes a quick curl and add a few coats of black mascara to my top and bottom lashes.
Step 11- Final touches: One of the last things I do is go back to my powder and touch up and to make sure I had no fall out from my eye shadow. Next I like to use a setting spray to keep my makeup fresh and in tact all day, one of my favorites is the Urban Decay all-nighter. Last but not least, I add a bit of shine to my lips, for an everyday looks I like to keep in simple and reach for a chapstick or light gloss such as the Benefit Benebalm.
