Prom Inspired Makeup | Teal & Silver
The key to achieving the perfect prom look is to make it last all night long. With a few simple steps I am going to show you the perfect Teal & Silver prom inspired makeup look.
Step 1. Primer– It is extremely important to use primer if you want your makeup to last all night. I am using the Modelco Skin Hydrating primer all over my face.
Step 2. Foundation & Concealer– It is also really important to start off with a good base and canvas. For prom, I chose to go with full coverage, long lasting products like the Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation and the Makeup Forever Full Coverage Concealer. I applied these products with a damp beauty blender to makeup everything look very blended and natural. Also, just to ensure that your makeup stays in place I recommend setting your Foundation with a good setting powder like the Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Natural.
Step 3. Blush, Highlight & Contour– To give the face highlight and dimension I am using the Maybelline Fit Me Powder in the shade Toffee Carmel to contour the face. I am placing this shade under my cheek bones, on my temples, down the sides of my nose, on my chin and down my neck. For blush I am using a mixture of the peach and the pink shade from the BH Cosmetics Dark Rose Pallet and placing those colors on the apples of my cheeks. To highlight the face I am using the Mary Loumanizer from The Balm Cosmetics and I am placing this on all of the high points of my face like the tops of my cheek bones, on my forehead, down the bridge of my nose, on my cupids bow, and on my chin.
Step. 4 Eyes– To prime and conceal the eyes I am using the Mac Pro Long Wear Concealer and blending that over my eyelids. Next I am using the BH Cosmetics Dark Rose Pallet and taking the teal shade on a flat shader brush lightly coated in Mac Fix Plus and placing this shade all over my lid and up till the crease. Next I am using a piece of scotch tap from the corner of my eye up until my eyebrow to get the perfect cat eye shape. Then going in with the dark silver shade from the pallet I am placing this shade in the outer corner of my eye and blending it into the teal shade slightly. Then going in with the warm brown shade in the pallet I am placing this shade in my crease using a fluffy blending brush and blending out any harsh lines. Next I am highlight my brow bone and the inner corners of my eyes using the silver shade in the pallet. Next remove the tape to reveal a clean, sharp edge. Going back to that first teal shade I am placing this on the first half of my lower lash line. Next I am going back to that same dark silver and placing that on the outer half of my lower lash line and blending everything out using that same warm brown shade. To prep for lashes I giving them a quick curl and coat of the Modelco Lash Extend Mascara, then I am placing on top of my natural lashed the Ardell Demi Wispie Eyelashes. Then I am going in with another coat of mascara to blend the lashes together and adding a coat to my lower lashes as well. To finish off the eye I am liner my top eyelid with the BH Cosmetics Felt Tip Liquid Liner with a thin line and I am also lining my inner rim with the Tarte Cashmere Eyeliner in the shade Moss.
Step 5. Lips– Lining your lips is essential to helping them last all night. For liner I am using the Mac Cosmetics Lip Liner in the shade Subculture and slightly over lining and filling them in. Over top I am using the Modelco Lipstick in the shade spring fling and to finish off the lips I am using the Modelco Lip Gloss in the Shade Viva to get the perfect pinky nude lip!
